For those looking towards the 6-core / 12-thread Coffee Lake i7s...

I give you the ASRock Z370M-ITX/ac motherboard...

I like that they are keeping the front-mounted M.2 slot, should halp with keeping M.2 NVMe SSDs cool...?

if you got ~ 359$< to spare... then maby

I stick to my R5 1600 for 195$

See, I TOTALLY keep waffling back & forth between all AMD or Intel / Nvidia...

R5 1600 / RX Vega 56 or i7-8700 / GTX 1070...

The all AMD is a bit cheaper, but I would want to put the RX Vega 56 under water, so there is extra money towards a custom loop...

The i7-8700 is a bit more money but should have better single core performance...?

Don't get me started on the uncertainty of choosing a GPU in these troubling times...!

Take the 1070, the RX VEGA 56 will be 100$ higher with lower performance (1070 oc)

nah it's okay. found out when I first read the post (opening the unloaded image goes to the forbidden page). Once the browser visited the page it'll use the local copy of the image going forward

I don't expect myself to remember this though, LOL

I just saw the ASRock Z370 Gaming ITX which is equipped with thunderbolt 3. As well as the predecessor Z270 Gaming ITX.
Would it be a great idea for building a InWin Chopin combined with a Gigabyte GTX 1080 Gaming Box????

Or something like A20 case which can host a LP graphics card for entry level gaming and when the demands are quite high, you just plug in the 1080 using just one cable.

Also the Asus 15.6 IPS portable monitors can be used, at last.

if the PSU is up to Spec then and the Thunderbolt Port is a real one then sure, it would work... but the Display would need some kind of hub to be Connected and the Display signal must be linked to the Thunderbolt bus because outer ways it will stay Black. :)
