ASRock has added a "low profile" version of the A380 to their website!

A very interesting new option for Low Profile GPU enthusiasts!
  • 6GB VRAM
  • AV1 and other media encoders/decoders
  • Zero dB fan mode
  • 8 PCIe lanes so Gen 3 should not be a bottleneck (although reBAR is still an absolute must)
On the other hand, you do have to deal with the temperamental drivers and I have no idea how performance compares to a RX 6400 after all recent driver updates.

I'm actually quite optimistic. Intel seems to be pulling a leaf from AMD's FineWine technology platform, but we'll see if that statement ages like Optane.
Especially on older platforms (ala Dell Optiplex) systems , the 3.0 x8 config is far superior to 4.0 x4.
6GB of VRAM is nothing to sneeze at either, and unlike the Quadro T1000 it also competes with it ships with 2GB extra memory by default and has XeSS support, something extremely welcome in this segment due to constraints on raw GPU power due to cost, thermal and power limitations.

Of course, pricing is the million dollar questions, but maybe we ought to check on those ARC A50 gpus they talked about a while back...
