I am using a Asetek 645LT and after I refilled the water, the behavior of the pump changed.
At 100 percent, it now reports around 7500 RPM. Before the refill, the RPM was lower and the sound was different.
What I observe:
• ~7500 RPM at 100 percent
• No visible leaks
• Sound is different, higher tone
• The typical low humming “refrigerator” sound is gone
• Cooling performance seems normal
• I can run the pump at 35 percent via fan control and that is fully enough for gaming
I already powered the pump off and on three times after the refill to make sure there is no air trapped.
The system is mounted vertically, pump at the bottom, radiator on top. Changing position made no difference.
In general, something feels different compared to before the refill.
Could this still be air in the loop even if temps are fine? Or could something on the PCB be damaged, for example a resistor or some control component, so that the RPM signal or regulation is off?
