I'd like to build a Desk PC like Matt from DIY Perks created but wanted some air cooling advice on my build.

Matt ended up using x40 80mm fans on both ends of the desk and ditched CPU/GPU fans and cooling seemed to suffer. I was thinking of mounting x3 120mm fans on both sides of the desk and wanted some advice. Do you think the fans on both sides should be intake and use CPU/GPU fans to exhaust, or should one side be intake and the opposite side be exhaust? I'm thinking that heat would exhaust from CPU/GPU and not even make it to the other side but would like some advice on what others would do?

To complete this log, I finally have my finished product - instead of the tiny fans, I settled on fabricating ramps to help guide the four 140mm intake fans. I'm super proud of the build and temps are pretty great, but need to do some more benchmarking.

Finished product:

Build log:

Border with top sheet cut

Showing off miter cuts with my new miter saw

USB hub

2070 Super GPU mount

View of top before laminate or any mounting holes

After laminate

Mounting of components complete

Bottom with fans mounted (4 intake, 2 exhaust)

With legs mounted

Underside after in final position

A huge shoutout to DIYPerks (if he ever sees a post like this) and to SFF for suggestions here.
