My build is A300 deskmini, Ryzen 3 2200G, 8GB 2933 x 2 (16GB), 256gb nvme. thinking of upgrade to 3400g, do you think is worth the money to upgrade? and i wonder can i use the 2200g's wraith stealth cooler on 3400g? since 3400g came with wraith spire cooler that is too tall for A300 to fit.

Was also going to recommend the Renoir based cpus. There is a beta bios available for the A300 which should make these work.

Hi! Is the 4650g compatible since the bios 3.70 release last november or do i still need the 3.60K?

3.60R or 3.60S.
Okay thanks you a lot but where can I find it? I don't see this one on the page of the a300, just the 3.70 or 3.60k.
I'll think about the choice between 3400g and 4650g because there is only 30 € more than the other and the difference in performance seems more important than the price difference ^^

The 3400g would be a good upgrade, but the 4650g would be a GREAT upgrade, if you are willing to use the beta bios and deal with anything that might come up.

Keep in mind it might be difficult to get either APU currently, depending on where you live, and the 4650g is a bit more expensive.

As for your question about the Wraith Stealth, YES you can modify it to be used in the A300 and it works pretty well. it's a very easy mod too. I think someone made a post about it here as well if you look around.

I've got a few coolers knocking around and found if you remove the fan from a Spire cooler, you can run a 3000G passively (without a fan), however this may not be great for the vrm's etc with much lower airflow.
If you're happy to zip tie the fan on the outside then it does a great job, a case fan moves more air, quieter and does a slightly better job!
Next step will be to see if a Prism will fit (I think the fins will be in the right orientation to encourage indictive airflow so may work passively quite well?),
still may have issues with other components overheating.
Also a 240mm AIO to try, although this will likely look ridiculous, should be fine without fans (on a 3000G), might be able to fit a case fan on the inside of the case as well to promote airflow in the case.
It is worth noting that the 4650G is all round a much more powerful CPU and also far more likely to undervolt well which means you can lower your thermals whilst still getting better performance than you would with the 3400G but compatibility is in question here...
