    Selling S4 mini 8700k / 1080ti / tb nvme / 16gb ram

Hey folks, Posting here because I want to sell my s4 build and cant post in the trade thread. Sorry mods, but I've been a legitimate contributor in the forums in the past and dont want to pay more money to get out of the sff game. When I built my s4, I had a lot of time for games and needed...

Power Supply HP DPS1200FB Server Power Supply

So I had some time to work on this project over the past week while I had some spare time at work. I found that the lugs that connect the common slot interface to the rest of the power supply are, in fact, soldered on. There's a lot of mass on those things, so my 40W soldering iron wasn't...

    GPU Zotac GTX 1080 Mini

Hey guys, just wanted to let you all know that if you can fit the full thickness 92mm fans into your enclosure, in some crude testing I found that the full thickness 92mm fans will keep the zotac 1080 ~8C cooler than the slim line fans. Planning on doing some more rigorous benchmarking and...

    SKYREACH 4 MINI (S4M)

I think I've seen some users fish cables from an ATX psu into their S4M through the IO shield or the PCIe slots or the included power connector cutouts. The problem with this is that there are many different voltages and signal wires so you would have a large bundle of wires coming in, and some...

    Cutting Skyreach 4 Mini to fit the Scythe BS2 Rev.B - 58mm?

Those charts are interesting. Those numbers look better than the numbers that Der8auer was getting, but I'm still a little bit wary about the fact that the numbers with paste under the IHS are even that close to the numbers with solder. I think it's still a little early to definitively say...

    SKYREACH 4 MINI (S4M)

Wishing you a quick recovery. Just got a quote for the part. Number was a little higher than I had hoped, but there are a few places I can shave the cost down for the purposes of a one off mod for my very specific use case. Any chance you'd be willing to share a .sldprt file or similar with me...

    Cutting Skyreach 4 Mini to fit the Scythe BS2 Rev.B - 58mm?

Have the benchmarks come out showing that the 9700k will run cooler at the same power draw than the 8700k? Der8auer did a video on the i9 9900k (which is 8 cores + HT, instead of just 8 cores / no HT for the 9700k), and he found that even though the IHS was soldered to the die, intel added...

Power Supply HP DPS1200FB Server Power Supply

Couldn't find any threads about this PSU when I searched, so I figured I'd start one. This thread isn't so much about the DPS1200 specifically, but any of the HP common slot power supplies. For those doing 12V builds, these HP server power supplies have a lot of potential as external power...

    GPU Zotac GTX 1080 Mini

That's the one. I don't have any issues with my PSU tripping, but I'm definitely operating close to 100% load, and I've gotta unscientifically wonder whether better input filtering might allow slightly better undervolting potential.

    GPU Zotac GTX 1080 Mini

To add my personal experience with bios flashing to the discussion - I found that the EVGA SC2 ROM got my fan speed floor on my 1080ti mini down to 0% without disabling hdmi audio. Anyone having issues with their 1080ti mini bios can shoot me a PM with their email address and I'll send you the...

Alternate ROM for Zotac GTX 1080ti Mini

Hey folks, I just wanted to post a link to the EVGA SC2 1080ti ROM which I've been using with my Zotac 1080ti Mini with great success. https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/191595/evga-gtx1080ti-11264-170406 Some users have tried using other Zotac 1080ti ROMs to reduce the fan speed floor on...

    SKYREACH 4 MINI (S4M)

@Josh | NFC I took some photos of the inside of my S4 and did a little test fit proving that, at the very least, it would be possible to reverse the PCIe slots in the S4M and mount a Zotac 1080mini / 1080ti mini in this alternate orientation without expanding the case. This may or may not hold...

    Cutting Skyreach 4 Mini to fit the Scythe BS2 Rev.B - 58mm?

I don't know if you can, but it's worth an ask before cutting up your $200 case, right?

    Cutting Skyreach 4 Mini to fit the Scythe BS2 Rev.B - 58mm?

I also delidded my 8700k. It's better in day to day usage, but prime 95 small fft still pushes the temps to the point of thermal throttling. As much as I like the stock look and feel of the mini, I think a cutout, if done right, could look pretty sweet too. Maybe I'll try and get a spare side...

    Cutting Skyreach 4 Mini to fit the Scythe BS2 Rev.B - 58mm?

I don't think it's a bad idea, I would be cautious about how you do it exactly though. I would probably use the l9i and a screwdriver to mark out where the edges of the l9i would fall on the side panel in sharpie to start. I would then draw another sharpie outline 10 - 15 mm further out around...
