Power Supply Appropiate wire gauge (AWG) for ATX cables?

According to MDPC their 15AWD is in thinner insulation os it should have the same thickness as regular 16AWG which worked perfectly for me. I went with metal cable combs in by Alphacool. I think they are called Eiskamm and they are very sturdy and look phenomenal. If you manage to break those...

Power Supply Corsair SF750 shutting off under sustainr high load

R9 3900X stock And 2080 Ti stock I am about 90% sure i narrowed it down to the PSU because after remaving it from my Ncase M1 so it can breath freely has fixed any crashes. Crash means: screen goes black, PSU clicks, machine is dean until the PSU is powercycled once. I suspecetd OCP but at...

Power Supply Appropiate wire gauge (AWG) for ATX cables?

For anything that sips power you should use 18 or thicker i think. Manufactures use that far the most part as far as i know. If i were to make my own camles again i wouldn't save an copper. It is expensive and time consuming overall and geing for 16AWG doesn't beork the bank if custom wiring...

NCase M1 custom watercooling; component choice discussion

How thick is the glacier? You will be completely blocking all airflow for the fan on the PSU side but if you go for a very slim rad like the slim XSPC 240 and a slim far, you might be able to fit it. The only option for 2 rads in an NCase seems to be going apogee drive. I don't know of any...

    Ncase M1 v6.1 build log (X570, 3950x, 2080Ti, semi-water cooled)

After I updated my Asus BIOS I found virtually every device disabled in BIOS, including wifi, Bluetooth, network NIC and NVMe slots. Check if the slots are explicitly disabled in BIOS.

    Ncase M1 v6.1 build log (X570, 3950x, 2080Ti, semi-water cooled)

Came out much much cleaner than mine. Congrats! Hope everything works as expected. Some cable appear kinked as hell. Please report back on the fan noise. I am still unsure if the board would fit. How thick is the motherboard below the PCIe slot?

    Ncase M1 v6.1 build log (X570, 3950x, 2080Ti, semi-water cooled)

I run my pupm at the lowest setting because I prefer almost silent over the small temp improvement. It runs just fine even with 3 QDCs, CPU and GPU block and 2 rads. The remaining flaw rate may be reduced but it is definitely good enough even for that I am running so you will be completely fine...

    Ncase M1 v6.1 build log (X570, 3950x, 2080Ti, semi-water cooled)

here are the promissed pictures EDIT: Updated some image descriptions I guess you found the prettiest route then. You are starting of right as far as I can tell because your block is oriented correctly. Mine is oriented the wrong way which made filling a lot harder and bleeding and absolute...

    Ncase M1 v6.1 build log (X570, 3950x, 2080Ti, semi-water cooled)

The cooler cools the pump, not the loop. I bought mine used and was pleased to find the idiot preowner ran it for years like you found it. Glad to hear they ship that pice of garbage from the factory like that ..... I'll add a few pictures of the insides of my loop to give you an idea how you...

    Ncase M1 v6.1 build log (X570, 3950x, 2080Ti, semi-water cooled)

No, I meant with a waterblock installed so the cooler would not be a concer. My concern is that the Impact vertically to large because ti is mini-DTX instead of mini-ITX and this might collide with my radiator. Relevant pictures: I meant without the approximately 10mm extenders you installed...

Hello fellow NCase Builders and SFF community

I built in the NCase M1 V6 a while ago and have been looking at the forum in preparation a lot. I have also already made a post here and there but this is my proper hello. i hope I come around to full post with pictures about my finished built as it was quite the (learning) experience. Basic...

Possibly a dumb question - Slim 120mm Fans

I had the issue with my noctua x15s and HW labs black ice nemesis gts 240 rad. I cimply cut the screws with a hacksaw. Not pretty but it works. Be sure to not cut to short. If you only screw in one fane you can check length etc visually by peaking fromt he open side!

I cam across this thread trying to figure out compatibility of the x570 Impact with the NCase and I might have some usefult tips and thoughts for you as I have completed a very similar build. R9 3900x Asus X570 Strix Trident Z 3600MHz 2x16GB CL16 EVGA Reference 2080 Ti Corsair SF750 Cooling...

Critique proposed S4M Brickless: Gigabyte X570, Ryzen 3700X, Zotac 2060 Super

I also think a 3700x might be stretching it but I can't speak from experience. I would advise against RAID 0. What led you to the conclusion that it was necessary? More out of curiosity: What makes you prefer the Gigabyte board over for other offerings? I debated it and decided against it since...

    [Ncase M1] Custom Watercooled, dual-240 mm Radiator, 8700K + 1080 Ti

I wouldn't mind goiong with a few screws less if that was all it takes. I think I will look at buying another GTS240 myself then. Currently have one side mounted with 2 12x25s on it. Heads up with the apogee drive: I bought one used and the threads didn't fit EKWB fittings well. Threading was...
