Sorry for hijacking this thread, but does anyone have info on whether or not you can run and fit the new RTX 2070 mini cars from MSI and Gigabyte respectively in the original S4 Mini and with a HDPLEX 330? I am looking to upgrade from my 1070 Aero. But i want to make sure i can fit the card...

I have some coil whine, but i am unable to identify whether the source is the HDPLEX 400w or the MSI Aero 1070, however i only hear it during benchmarks such as 3DMark or Unigine Superposition, when i game it's completely inaudible.

Tried that already, only thing that works for me so far are to disable XMP entirely, but that really sucks. Unfortunately, it seems like a very well-documented problem over on the ROG forums. Nobody has been able to find a pattern nor a solution yet though.

Hey @Broxin just wanted to give a quick shout out for the mod of the HDPLEX connector in order for the 1070 Aero to fit, that saved my ass big time! The connector might be flipped, but the mod is way easier to do than taking a dremel to the power connector, so thanks for experimenting and paving...

Man i am so impressed with the thermal performance of the S4 Mini. Running my 7600K at stock with the NH-L9i, 16GB of g.skill Trident Z 3200mhz, 2xSSDs, MSI Aero 1070 OC'ed +70mhz on the core and 325mhz on the memory, no component runs hotter than 70c at ANY time. I can't believe it. Almost...

I am actually seeing mid-70s temps currently at peak load, which i don't think is too bad. But i am worried by the lack of OC headroom as well as the extra thermal pressure brought on the whole system. I might just leave at it's current level and take it from there, since the system as a whole...
