Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

When I bought AM4 didn’t have a lot of great microatx options so I went with Cerberus X. When Cerberus 2 launches I’ll probably get a non-X. I love that MATX form factor.

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

When your looking at video card prices and waiting on that V2 / Cerberus XL and then @KSliger says, maybe we don’t need an XL… bububut what about this? Asus rtx 3070 noctua edition

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

The champ is back. Hello Marc! We’ve been dormant here for a while. A little more D12L info I got from Noctua. I noticed when looking through the installation PDF they do not discuss two orientations for mounting of AM4/AM5. Noctua support stated that if you have an AM4 board and want to do...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

A Are we still on pace for a v2 at some point? I love my Cerberus X but any V2 stuff/parts I can purchase to update piecemeal would be cool. I’m thinking like usb-c/audio front Jack or other panel tweaks. By the way did you see the guy on redit post about magnetic side panel attachment? I’d...

Looks like Noctua was eying our setup. Too bad no chromax at launch. NH-D12L

I feel like Rev 2 of cerberus should eat the penalties and go a little taller to fit more top AIO options and regular sized fans. Maybe I'm the only one that would be willing to deal with 20-30mm more height.

What direction (intake exhaust) do you have all of your fans set to? I'm still refreshing best-buy trying to nab a 3080FE myself. I won't have quite the narrow gap issues. I have some rubber screw substitutes myself but I paid the Brown tax for them. They work fine but they're pretty pricey.

Log SMALLEST ATX CASE : CERBERUS-X (Complete build log)

Marc, that is really annoying. Sorry you have to deal with that. Hopefully that will mean that if a user does order a SX750 that it will be the 1.1 with proper fan info. Has the SF750 treated you well? I have a Ryzen 3600, an NVME storage drive, 2 sticks of ram, and an EVGA GTX 1080 all running...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

I gotta say.... I like my U9S but that looks quite pretty and makes me consider AIO.

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Thanks as Always @MarcParis for your thorough tests. I presume that a 3080 FE is same length as a 3090FE. Would a front NFA12 fan fit in the front of the case for helping to vent the hot air off the GPU? Looks like it might be a little long. Also what is IBT 2.54?

What is IBT? IBT 2.54 Very High and Cinebench R20 (multi) free? I was considering doing a before/after on temps when I change my CPU cooler in the next few days.

If I'm planning for that RTX 3080 FE to show up for a 5800 CPU pairing, what PSU is your favorite that is available in the USA right now? (Prefer SFX) What 3080 did u nab? Got any pics in a Cerberus X yet?

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Recommendations for an SFX or SFX-L that would work in a Cerberus X and also handle an RTX 3080 or 6800XT graphics card? Notes: 1. I'm not sure an SFX-L would work with a 3080. 2. I would also like some headroom for a future CPU upgrade. I've got a 3600x right now, but am considering a 5800x...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

I was going to recommend X for you all the way up until you mentioned flying. If space is a premium for travel, also go smaller if you can. There are so many ITX/DTX (and a few MATX) for AMD that you're basically fine with the non-X to me. You might want to confirm compatibility before you dive...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Inspired me to head over there and skim the thread. Found this gem. Convinced to wait on one of those for my next build.
