This sounds very similar to something I have already made for a customer's RTX 4000 SFF Ada, basically a baseplate with the HDPlex block soldered or screwed into it. It doesn't use the fins you mentioned, though, not sure how much difference that would make.

If it’s any help, FedEx is usually quite a bit cheaper to ship to the US if you go through the intake with a sales representative.

Is that an official thing? I know of a recent example where Lenovo place the connector facing the rear on the RTX 4060 used in their prebuilts. Although these cards don't retail outside of prebuilts, which may explain the different rules set by Nvidia.

Reversing indeed makes more sense to get the hot air out of your case, but convection is negligible once there is some airflow inside your case.

For ITX it’s indeed perfect, but I was referring to STX, which has about the same dimension length-wise

It looks like they took a centrifugal fan they usually use in full height blower card and then shrunk the cooler as much as possible around it. Unfortunately, it is still taller than half-height so won't fit in 99% of the low-profile cases :(

I replied to your email about the problem. I suspect a loose or twisted pin in the housing as it would be coincidental if they both broke at the same time.

From a manufacturer pov, it’s too risky to sell stuff out of spec because you’ll risk high claims if things go wrong.
