Production Velka series cases for ultra compact and portable desktops. 3 - 7 L

Don't want to repeat too much information, read back a few pages and look at my posts. The SF600 Platinum comes with individually sleeved cables while the others don't

The VK-5 is cramped... After spending some time with mine I recommend individually sleeved cables. So unless you plan on getting custom cables you should really consider spending a little extra cash and getting the SF600 Platinum. I also recommend avoiding 2.5" drives altogether so that you...

Barbell rack installed at the expense of my VK-5 build. Hopefully I'll get to finish my build tomorrow. The gym is still a work in progress but I had to do something about the barbells laying everywhere.

Got a little time to play with the case before heading out. The Black Ridge and the Wraith Stealth (shroud removed) both fit the VK-5. On another note. I bought MX-4 (what I'm currently blaming) to save some money and after 2-3 weeks of light use the CPU was welded to the heatsink and they...

Gigabyte Aorus B450i. I briefly commented on the fitment in the HSLP-48 thread. The heatpipes just touch the backplate on the EVGA 2080 which has a lower profile backplate. With my Gigabyte Vega 64 the heatpipes actually push against the backplate so much so that it takes a little force to line...

Got the VK-5 and my second hand 2080 today. Literally laughed out loud when I saw that the VK-5 package is smaller than the EVGA box. Testing some parts in the old case before I install over the weekend. Verdict on the Black Ridge compatibility incoming as well!

Prototyping DAN HSLP-48: A powerful sub 50mm heatsink

I can confirm that the Aorus B450i works with the Black ridge and a GPU with a backplate installed directly in the pcie slot. However it does make slight contact with the back of the card. I wouldn't install a GPU without a backplate in this setup out of fear that the Black ridge would cause a...

So blowing upwards, away from the motherboard? Asking because mine came installed on the heatsink that way and temps aren't great but I've never used such a low profile cooler so I can't compare to anything. I've been too lazy to flip it but plan to.

@pavemsx I have a new (purchased two months ago) black ridge that I have installed on an Aorus B450i and 3600 that I intend to use in the VK5. The Black ridge doesn't overhang the pcie slot or the edge of the motherboard so it should work assuming all heights are accurate. I'll report back when...

@VELKASE Michael what's the maximum supported width for graphics cards in the VK5? Two slots is specified in the specs but I didn't know if a graphics card over that would still fit. Mine is two slot but 53mm wide. Thanks

Prototyping SV590 and SV540 vertical SFF cases for the deskspace minded

The extra 5mm for ATX PSU support is negligible and I'll always welcome more space for a graphics card. The footprint is already way smaller than most other cases out there so I have no problem making the case a little larger. I'm very interested to see the difference in footprint between a...

If that small increase in width is what's standing between a sandwich design and traditional layout then I'd prefer the latter so that I can use a NH-U12A and keep my desk space.

SFF + power + near silence =? possible

The Be Quiet! Dark Rock TF is another solid top down cooler. I ran mine with a single fan cooling an overclocked 7700k and it was as quiet as any Noctua cooler that I've used. Reviews seemed to vary when I bought mine for whatever reason but I was very impressed with the noise levels and...

Prototyping "The Tick" - 6.45L Backpack PC

Looks good dude! But I've gotta say that I'm disgusted by the name because I pull ticks off myself all day at work. I can't think of any way to keep the mesh panel from snagging things short of redesigning the frame, green part, to allow the mesh to sit inside of it rather than on top.
