I used to think the same thing which led me to give up on sff. I will gladly further explain to anyone, in PMs, what's wrong with custom loops in those cases if it helps save them from wasting their $$ on buyers regret.

It's a relief to read this. The case badly needs a more technical/analytical review. All linus did was use it as a prop in his act.

Their attitude towards the case will change when OT places it at the top of the benchmark list. These are the same people who see a build like this and think "man this NR200 is such a great case." There were so many people posting for thermals troubleshooting help in that sub after they tried...

The amount of "assembly stacking" that goes into fitting a watercooling loop this big in a case this small makes the trial and error process of figuring out a build really time consuming. "Hmm I wonder if this fitting can be used here." proceed to unscrew 8 screws, remove 4 parts, install...

So far the heatkiller D5 appears to be the winner when it comes to a non-custom D5 solution fitting in this case without mods. The real-estate is more limited for tubing coming out the sides of the pump than I realized so the top inlet/discharge of that heatkiller block are critical. Curious...

FYI for those receiving the first wave of cases. There's a kinda-sorta issue with an easy fix. The standoff included is approx. 4mm OD and the standard appears to be 5.5mm (confirmed by measuring available NCase and 011D). The OD was small enough to fit through the asus strix x570-i screw...

Mind sharing what pump/res combo you're looking at?

Do the two screw holes on the bracket for bracket-to-panel fastening also line up with the spine's slotted holes? I'm wondering if I can turn that spine into my friend rather than enemy.

thanks for that. Your pump interfering with the side panel is interesting. Is the pump bracket in this model aligned to where the case bracket would be?

The 62.5/63.5 pump width claim is misleading then if that dimension is from spine to side panel since, in my mind, the pump width limit is determined by measuring the bracket center to the spine. If you are correct, then not even a 60mm OD tube can fit when centered above the pump. Both plans...

87 was from psu to side panel. Need clarification from Winter on what the 63.5 dimension references.

I'm one of those people planning on the pump+res combo, but I already own all the parts so I'm not bothering with doing any modeling. Some notes: Max width claim of 63.5mm pump. Either this dimension is from spine to case side panel or it assumes the pump assembly is centered on bracket...
