Production SENTRY 2.0: Evolution of console-sized gaming PC case

OH LOL I thought @Treshy was replying to himself and I was like"???" but it's actually @Thrusher I bought these to replace my Corsair cables due to them still being way too long and cramming it in my case. I emailed J-Hack and he said it's a perfect size for the Sentry, but couldn't test it...

(TRAVEL) Taking your SFF build on a plane and getting it past Security check

Just an update for those wondering, I recently traveled from the US to Indonesia and no major problems faced. In the US, TSA told me to get the pc out (like a laptop) in a separate bin. They said any large electronics must be in a separate bin. Other than that I went through easily. In Japan...

    J-HACK Mod Shop

Sure thing, but it'll be a while though maybe late December as I'm currently no in the US, but would love to take pics

    J-HACK Mod Shop

Just bought all the cables, hoping it will fit with my case since the Corsair cables are horrendous and almost broke my USB Type 3.0 connector :(

Only the PC for me, though my friend tried it. He packed his 24" monitor (must not be super thick) inside his luggage padded with all his clothes. Works great though

(TRAVEL) Taking your SFF build on a plane and getting it past Security check

Have travelled before US -> JP -> IDN, no problems at all. No one batted an eye at my Sentry 1.1 (full build with Mobo, GPU, PSU, everything), as it fit my backpack. No one said anything to me and just let it pass through, though in Japan they asked me to take out my PC in a separate bin but...

Mobo wise I think you're fine. It's the second best vrm compared to the MSI one. Also your cpu is not the 3700x so temperatures would be ok (the L9a is strong enough to cool it). For reference I'm using an asrock b450 itx with the noctua and ryzen 3600. I personally have not had firsthand...

Production The Sliger SM550/560/570/580 (2 and 3 slot riser layouts, with air and liquid cooling variants)

Yeah after my current build dies out I'm going for a Sliger, but that's still a few years away (ended up getting a 2060 super due to the driver issues in amd)

CPU Cooler: C7 Cu is a great cooler, but with the default fans runs super loud. If you can, try to change the fans to a Noctua 92mm fan for quietness while maintaining the same performance. GPU: Idk if your GPU could perform well in Sentry, it might thermal throttle, but if you want to try do...

I actually don’t recommend your CPU cooler with that CPU, as I think it’ll be way too hot. If you want, you can follow this guy’s build He’s also using a 2070 super but blower with the LP53 cooler. His temps are amazing, and I think he’s a good reference for your type of build

Were you the one who tried to sell the sentry? I remember #80 something hahaha. But all Sentries are 1.1. 1.0 is the one sent initially for reviewers. I think it depends on your use case. Officially Dr. Zaber says if you put it vertically open air, but horizontally then blower. However, since...

Production SENTRY 2.0: Evolution of console-sized gaming PC case

Exterior wise it’s pretty similar, the only difference is I think the screws (less screws) and the feet’s rubber are better. Interior wise however, they rearranged it so one could fit an AIO (water cooling) though at the cost of an itx GPU. They also increased the size of the perforations, so...

Production The Sliger SM550/560/570/580 (2 and 3 slot riser layouts, with air and liquid cooling variants)

Damn that's really neat, smart thinking by the Sliger guys. Ah I mean an extra $200 for the SM550 compared to the Sentry hahaha 😅 . Glad to hear the Pulse will fit, and it's cool that you can max out the 50mm max size!

Production The Sliger SM550/560/570/580 (2 and 3 slot riser layouts, with air and liquid cooling variants)

Hey gang, after days (literally spent the whole day) thinking, evaluating, and pulling my hair out on my next moves, I decided that I should suck up the extra $200 and abandon my Sentry case to switch to an SM550 case. Now, what do you all think? Is this a wise decision? My reasoning is that...

Hmm would really want to try this. I’ll see other reviews about the Challenger XT to see temps and if the Sentry could handle it. Switched to an RTX 2060S as I'm scared of all the drivers/bugs from the 5700/XT.
