    Prototype MVL-R7 - 9.5L Mini-ITX, 70mm cooler, CNC-it-yourself

I am actively replying to all of the messages. Might be a bit of a delay, but I'll answer. Feel free to poke me again after a few days if I won't. As Michael stated, this is my personal thing. You want to modify it? Go ahead. I'm not doing any work for you. Unless you wanna pay me for it, then...

Sent you the link. Sorry, don't come here that often.

I did some testing when developing the case, but I don't have any concrete results to share. As I'm running the case without side panels, it doesn't really matter that much in my case. You've got a message :)

I calculated it exactly and it's 38,3%., not taking the part which is covered anyway at the top and bottom. Good enough estimation in my book ;) Do you have any experience whether it's good or bad?

Oh, you mean the panels themselves. I'd say it's around 40% - about 20% of the panel has no ventilation, and the pattern is around 50% open. But, then again, no side panels have been made up until now, I run it as an open case, as it's sufficiently quiet for me and I dust it with canned air once...

What do you mean by "ratio"?

Oh it just occured to me I didn't post any pics of the first iteration of the case in flesh. The current components are: AMD Ryzen 3600 Asus Strix B450I Noctua L12S 32GB DDR4 3200MHz EVGA RTX 2080 XC Corsair SF600 Platinum Samsung 970 EVO 256 OS SSD Samsung 960 EVO (I think) 1TB storage...

Prototype My DIY lasercut Sandwich Style replica xD

Here's some points and suggestions about the case: I like that it's simple and cheap. And TBH that's about it :D As stated, keep the PSU as high at the top of the case as possible, since you are just adding unused space above it. Decide on either inlet or outlet fans, top or bottom, and scrap...

Cooling The Scythe Big Shuriken 3. Big performance at a small price.

I'd say that the review, not testing against L12s, which I think is 70mm too, is kind of invalid... And the beige argument? The fan at 70mm is hidden underneath, barely visible...

    ASRock Z390 PHANTOM GAMING-ITX + Noctua NH-L12S?

Isn't it a incompatibility with the case, specifically heatsink vs PSU? The board seems to easilly clear the cooler though. A little bit of a thread excavation cause I'm considering this combo too for i7-9700k.

To the people who requested access to the project files - I am still making progress on them. Just uploaded a big update with most of the things mentioned for the v2 above. I'm not done with the PSU mount and the side panels, but the pre-made screw holes and the new GPU mount is ready. All of...

Production FormD T1 Classic (READ FIRST POST)

Just a quick chime in from someone who just did his first simple SFF case in a similar layout, just watching the design and engineering on this case gives me a tingling in my wallet. This looks absolutely stunning. Great job guys!

    Stalled .

So is this just an exercise or are you going to build it? Did you think about how you'll fabricate the panels? Bend them? Get them to stick together? Aren't you forgetting space for any 2.5" HDD / SSD or you're running M.2 only? As you say, the overall volume is not really impressive given...

    Prototype MVL-R7 - 9.5L Mini-ITX, 70mm cooler, CNC-it-yourself

It basically stays in one place. It'll either be wood or acrylic glass. We'll see, this is a slow moving project and I never know where it takes me.

The CPU stays around low 70s in prime95 @ 4.3 GHz. Not pushing it too hard. It is delidded with liquid metal though. GPU never exceeds 75 degrees. Keep in mind I'm running it without the side panels. Still haven't decided what material to choose for those, aluminium, wood or plexi. Those...
