Expect that in January when 7000x3d variants come out.
It's not that zen 4 is not awesome chip, it's that it's expensive (new platform, ram). I suspect things will start to move when RL comes out.
Why does so many people ignore ECO mode? In ECO mode 105w you get like 90% of the performance, which is 30(?)% better than previous gen.
If you are in the productivity & SFF this is the way to go.
If your primary use is gaming than 5800X3D is the obvious winner. At least until 7000x3D.
Personally i'm more than fine with GaN, but from business standpoint it's a good idea to provide more options.Same goes for cooling (higher cpu/CPU cooler compatibility)
Next year is going to be big for APU builds. Love the look.
2 things:
1. Is this HDPLEX 250W GaN exclusive or would it be possible to use standard flex type psu?
2. I would prefer bigger CPU cooler size option. For 65 W cpu-s 47 mm is fine, but the way things are going it would be sensible...
Love this case. Nice & simple and it has everything, front IO and CPU cooler space. Would the new HDplex gan PSU fit in this?
Next year should be a great year for APU builds.
I would have gone with HDplex 200w combo. It's also fanless and smaller than Silverstone option, which means you
can go with smaller case. There are 4 l APU case out there with flex psu standard and higher cpu cooler clearance. You can go
with Noctua L12-s. no need for fan adapters.
And also if...
Hi Revo,
That would be great.
I'm not picky as far as the looks are concerned,, i'd be happy with ordinary plate (black or silver) that covers that space and has a hole for c14 plug. Considering
the fact that desktop Renoir is out i'm sure there will be many more with the same need.
So i'm planning APU build in this case. I'm going with the ac-dc-atx option, probably from HDPLEX (200w).
My only question is where can i buy bracket with c14 plug hole that covers the FLEX PSU space in the back of the case. There are SFX and ATX options available out there, but i can't
find...
Plenty of options on this list:
Also I could use advice on how big of a power supply I would need? I was planning PCPartsPicker estimate times 1.3.
APU cases usually host flex psu-s or an ac-dc-atx solution. You will find all the info you need on this forum.
