Log B35 Upgrade After 4+ Years!

It's been a minute. I designed and built the B35 in 2017 to serve my needs at the time, which revolved around CAD for work and school, and it served me well in that capacity. To recap: CPU: Intel i7 7700K Motherboard: Asus Strix Z270i Gaming RAM: G.Skill TridentZ RGB 32GB 3200 CPU Cooler...

    Concept Ocelot Boreal V2

Sounds like a full-length GPU is essential for the redesign. I'm not a fan of how the dual slot card version of the case looked (just kind of disproportional), so I'd be inclined to keep it single slot. On the topic of space, I want to be able to fit a good internal power supply, but I'm not...

    Concept Ocelot Boreal V2

Hello! After taking a bit of a break from building PCs, I am happy to announce this new project- the Boreal V2. The purpose of this project is to take make the Boreal B35 available to anyone who has expressed interest in getting their hands on one as well as to improve some design elements and...

    Completed Ocelot Boreal (B35) 3.5L

Yes, the 4L version would support two 80mm fans instead of three 60mm fans.

The internals haven't changed since the last update. There should be pictures on the previous page.

I am certainly open to the idea, if there's enough interest.

Final update! Christmas came early- the machine shop just finished making the front panel, and I am liking the way it turned out. I like the contrast of the brushed aluminum against the powdercoated steel. I might do a light anodizing in the future, to match the K810 keyboard I'm using, and...

Thank you! Yep, that's what this is! I'll have more pictures later that'll give a better sense of scale to show just how tiny this thing is. It's funny, because the power brick is about half the size of the PC itself XD The 60mm Noctua fans are VERY quiet! I'm definitely a fan of these fans.

    Concept Ocelot Cub (C8) 0.8L

Hey guys, While I'm finishing up the B35, I wanted to share a concept I came up with a couple weeks ago- the Ocelot C8. This is a case intended for the H110-STX motherboard. I would like to preface this by saying that with the school year starting, I likely won't have time to finish this design...

Update time! I've been holding off on making an update until I finished the build, but I feel like it's been a while, and I'm honestly very excited about there the build is now, so here are some pictures of the build in its current state! I really like how the case come out. Protocase...

Just for reference, this is what the case would look like with a hydro-dipped front panel:

Just a quick update on the project: I have finalized the design. No a lot has changed- mostly just small alterations to measurements. I have moved the GPU bracket inside and reduced the overall number of fasteners used. One big change is the front panel, which is now steel instead of wood. This...

I though about doing something similar, but I am worried about the sides being exposed. In theory, if the panel is thick enough, the sides could also be covered in veneer, but in practice I'm afraid it'll look a little too shabby. But I do think it's worth experimenting with it considering how...

    Completed Ocelot Boreal (B35) 3.5L

Just a quick update: It turns out that it is quite difficult to get wood - any wood bent at such a tight radius (~15mm). Luckily, this design allows for interchangeable front panels. So now the question is which material to use. Carbon fiber or any other composites require very high tooling...
