its a great deal for someone who is a cheapass, and want a super cheap pc, that can also game. itll play just about anything at roughly 30 fps at 768p. not bad. Especially if you have low standards ,and are broke, and just want to play some games. Also, if you use it to build a rig, and later...

It all depends on how raven ridge ends up being. I honestly doubt itll be too bad. They have time to improve it as well. If it can match the performance of a 460, thats solid performance for an apu, imo. And itll appeal to the SUPER small form factor guys, and it should be pretty affordable...

it would be a good buy, because when raven ridge comes out, you can drop one of those in the pc youre using. just limp this along until raven ridge drops. just my two cents.

nah. Itd be good enough to run most games at 1366x768 , 30-40 fps, low settings. but any higher is pushing it. could try to overclock the crap of the IGPU and squeeze some extra performance out of it. ALSO, pay attention to your ram, use the fastest ram you can, because the igpu relies on it ...

Hey guys. I found the a12 9800 available on taobao, and now that amd updated their bios to allow ram timing info, the apu has amazing performance in gaming. (for what it is) Im considering doing a fully passive, extremely tiny build with this cpu. Any of you interested? ( this was just a...

Thoughts towards ultimate SFF X299 build...?!?

youre going to have a rough time keeping that cpu cool. Id say you want a custom loop for that thing. The noctua low profile cpu cooler is rated for tdp of 95 at MAX. Those cpus are going to be MONSTERS. they might be over 200 tdp.

Memory hunting down the right ram

(solved) Hey guys, Ive run into some conflicting information about specifics on ram support for a motherboard: I just snagged a DBS1200KP for an ITX build im doing. Should I trust pcpartpicker on what ram it supports? Because I really dont need ECC. Also, intel's page for this motherboard...
