You could explain the situation to Evga, and they would replace your card with something compatible. They have good support.

I didn not get a 5700 to test, but I assume it is probably the same. However installation is either with applying some force when installing it (probably scratching it during that) or moving the motherboard before (which have been the preferred way but not something I was willing to do).

Actually I was referring to the shipping method, but then I saw you specified it was the cheapest shipping. My order was with EMS (the more expensive one) and it took about the same.

Yes, it probably would have been possible in that combination, but for me having to remove the motherboard in order to remove the GPU, or have to screw the motherboard only after installing the GPU, is more compromise that I'm willing to make to get it installed.

Well, I ordered the Sapphire Pulse and ended up returning it. It does not really fit, meaning there is no really a feasible way to get it inside the PCIe slot. You can also check my post in the GPU thread.
