Zotac Launches 10th Anniversary Products

10 years is a big number – not many companies, let alone tech companies, make it that far. ZOTAC is celebrating this birthday, however, and has launched a small range of products. These range from an updated VR Go backpack, to a watercooled GTX1080, all the way to a PCIe SSD.

The products are;

  • ZOTAC GTX 1080 ArcticStorm Thermaltake 10 Year Anniversary Edition.
    • A revised PCB delivers 16 power phases, dual BIOS, with BIOS 1 offering a base frequency of 1,657 MHz and BIOS 2 being set at a slightly more conservative 1,632 MHz base clock (with Boost clocks set at 1,797 MHz and 1,771 MHz respectively).
  • ZOTAC SLI HB Bridge.
    • It’s a HB SLI bridge. ‘Nuff said.
  • Sonix 10 Year Anniversary Special Edition SSD.
    • A 480 GB, Toshiba based MLC NAND drive, paired with 512 MB of DDR3 cache, using the PCIe x4 NVMe protocol. Sequential read speeds are claimed to be up to 2,800 MB/s, with sequential write speeds of 1,500 MB/s. The drive’s power requirements are rated at 5.57 W read, 7.27 W write and 0.5 W idle.
  • 10 Year Anniversary Edition Magnus EN1080 Mini PC
    • Featuring a GeForce GTX 1080 MXM module, a liquid-cooling solution, and an Intel Core i7-6700. Storage options are a 2.5″ SATA tray and and M.2 interface, which supports either SATA or PCIe-based SSDs. The Magnus EN1080 is VR ready, including an HDMI port on the front of the chassis, and its ports include 1x USB 3.1 (type A), 1x USB 3.1 (type C), 4x USB 3.0, a 3-in-1 card reader, and the usual Mic-in and headphone jacks. Video output is made possible through 3x HDMI 2.0, and 2x DisplayPort 1.3, with its networking including support for dual Gigabit LAN, as well as Dual-Band wireless over the AC protocol.
  • Upgraded VR Go backpack
    • Weight is down, durability and accessibility are up compared to the predecessor. The VR Go includes a GeForce GTX 1070 in addition to a hot-swappable two-battery system for continuous play without being tethered to a desktop PC. Apart from the graphics solution and some quality of life improvements (with the pack now including holsters for your chosen VR system controllers), nothing more was made public regarding the VR Go’s hardware.

Zotac did not reveal pricing and availability for the new 10 Year Anniversary Edition products, but the company said that we can expect availability sometime before the end of 2016.
