What Use is a M.2 Wifi Slot Other Than WiFi?

Youtube user Peter Brockie has collected a few adapter cards that make use of the M.2 WiFi slot – opening up a few options for those who need more internal expansion, or don’t use WiFi.
Some cool products abound, including a 2.5GBe adapter, SFP adapter, and a SIM/Cellular card (for a SFF rig on the go!)

I have an extension cable on my current server's M.2 Wifi slot, so that I can plug in a PCIe x1 card for troubleshooting, as it has a CPU without iGPU. The PCIe x16 slot is occupied with a 2x 40Gbps networking card, the M.2 PCIe 3.0 x4 is occupied by a 8-port SATA host-based adapter.
