Why all this hate ? I've been running it for over a month now and it is very quiet on my 35W CPU. This will allow me to build a 1U chassis and in this area it has no competitor.
I'm not hating, but I just didn't see this HSF being used in a 1U application, and with a 35W CPU to boot, if that's what someone in this thread is using it for then like I said above... then sure, by all means stick with it! In that case, I fully support trying to improve it's performance with a TIM swap or trying to fit an Engine 37 in there once it's out (if it'll fit).

My comments are comparing it to an NH-L9i in an application where both are trying to cool 65/91w CPUs inside an S4 mini.

I don't hate it. I was really pumped about it. I just think it does have a competitor, and the competitor is better in every single measurable way is all.

Nothing wrong with the engine 27.

Peace!

I'll be running it on a 35W 6700T so I'm not as worried since it will probably run at lower RPM/dBa anyways. As much as I don't love Thermaltake, the aesthetics on this cooler are kind of second to none and it really matches the Strix ITX well. I'll be using it to build in the S4 as soon as I get my custom bezel.

Any long-term results to share? (Asking KMPKT and anyone else still using this cooler)

I completely loathe ThermalTake products, but I bought one a few days ago for my H-Frame Mini build (6700T). Time for a test drive...

I think that the consensus was that this cooler was both acoustically and thermally underwhelming. It isn't a Sandia cooler in any way or shape.

Agreed--I do like the form factor, look, and turbo turbine whine. With an i7-6700T, I don't think I'm too picky with the temperatures, especially after a delid.
