News Single Slot RX 460 spotted

HIS has announced the RX 460 Slim-iCooler OC, which is a single slot, pci-powered radeon rx 460. I haven't found an official product page yet, but the news is being posted on some tech sites. The fan is said to be idle under 60 degrees celsius.

EDIT: the product page doesn't seem accessible atm, but there's a copy in google's cache: http://webcache.googleusercontent.c.../product2-940.shtml+&cd=2&hl=nl&ct=clnk&gl=be

What an interesting card. Would be nice if there was a low profile single slot version... (I'm looking at you, MSI)

Oh sweet, now we just need a single-slot 1050 Ti and a low-profile 460 and we'll have both camps covered.

They look exactly the same only different brand graphics.
Most likely they are using a common OEM or they are sharing the design. But two suppliers are better than one, especially for niche products not always available in all regions.

Yea, I thought that was kind of funny.

I was searching everywhere for card dimensions and there were no resources posted on their site.

Going out on a limb and say the dimensions are exactly the same as the HIS card, if those are available. And I actually don't like the red stripe much, at least the way it's painted on. They should've stuck with black and silver as they did with their HD 7xxx cards.

Just tried seeing if there is an Elsa 1050ti out in Japan yet (they did the slim 750ti a couple years ago) but no luck : /

Not the same heatsink - the shroud for the HIS has engraving for the honeycomb pattern, the fan mounting is different, and the wiring routing is different. The PCB is identical though, even down to the 160621KL moniker.

It also appears the HIS has a copper base to the heatsink - http://www.hisdigital.com/UserFiles/product/_DSC0201_5_1600.jpg

Whereas the XFX does not - http://cdn.videocardz.net/cache/0e040bec2a8d70eeff1f194b3bc9b318-1200x900.jpg
If you flick between the pictures clearly and look for a few points of reference, this appears to be a design any company can copy and rebrand as their own. The fans for both are in the same spot (between the screws) and XFX's shroud is pretty much identical apart from the design. I mean, looking at the reflection in the XFX fan, you can see they're quite similar, but imo the HIS one looks a lot better.
