I decided to take a slight risk and order an X53 Full Black from China, since it briefly became available on https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256804130243751.html. Different folks seem to have wildly different results with the IS-55 for some reason, but the X53 at least seems to be universally well-regarded. (No idea why Thermalright doesn't seem to want to sell it in the US anymore... too niche?)
