News RTX 2070 Mini from Zotac

Zotac is releasing the (hopefully not the only 20 series lineup to come) RTX 2070 mini. Baby steps. Not exactly small though 211mm x 129mm x 41mm, at least the pcb is shorter than the shroud so at best a diy mod.

Zotac always uses CG renders for its cards which don't look quite as good as the real thing. Personally I think it's about on par with the 1080 mini design.

if anyone's curious: quick card outline comparisons between the 1080ti FE, the 2080ti FE, the 2070(!) FE, the EVGA 2070, Gigabyte's 1070 Mini, and Zotac's 1080 mini and 1080ti mini

if Zotac also uses the reference 2070 card for their minis, they should be in the same ballpark as their 1080ti mini

EDIT: you know, on retrospect it's the fastest time Zotac released a mini of the generation, LOL

Neat graphic. If they can get the 2070 Mini set up with minimal effort, perhaps smaller 2070's with a little more engineering time will be possible. Also, perhaps 2080 and 2080 Ti minis are possible too. Bit more of a long shot but it'd be neat (I refrained from saying "cool" for what I think are obvious reasons...)

I enjoy that basically every site is like "Oh, it's tiny - so it's going to be cheap"

At this time the pricing ... is unknown, though it is expected to sit on the lower end of the RTX 2070 spectrum, given its expected lack of a factory overclock.

If only I could be so optimistic.

to be honest, this pcb is too long. obviously they just slap a custom cooler on top of the reference pcb and call it the mini. Instead of designing a custom pcb. If anyone wants to water block a 2070, they can just by and reference card

This new Zotac RTX 2070 MINI is 4mm taller than the Zotac 1080Ti MINI, however the power connector is recessed to what looks like reference height, so overall the height is probably reduced once you factor the power connector on top.

Will this still fit inside the S4 MINI with the increased shroud height?

He has a S4M-C, and a Dan so could be either of those.

I also wouldn't be surprised by a Ghost or a newer S4M on his channel...maybe the circle one? IDK, I'd not be surprised about any of the more niche cases, there's not many that can fit that card and not a full length GPU though...

It'd be an interesting build in a Skyreach. The caveat I can foresee is that the previous LTT build in that case (as I recall) included a Zotac 1080 Mini. Seeing as the 2070 is largely reported to be similar in performance to the 1080 in traditional gaming (and unplayably slow in BFV RTX On), it's not much of an upgrade. Or rather, it wouldn't be that impressive a feat considering what's already been done (and if it was a 1080 Ti, then even less so). I'm expecting LTT to have something else up their collective Canadian sleeves. No idea what it could be though...
