Hello, want to add a moment switch to my x570. have a pig tail and a button but not sure how to wire it up. appreciate any help!

the pig tail has the dual wire for the power SW, and singles for the LED pos and neg

For a mother board its even easier. All boards have 2 pins for the switch and 2 pins for the power LED. Which pins are which should be in your motherboard's manual.

Normally you;'d connect the NO and C terminals to the motherboard header PWRBTN pins on page 1-24 of your motherboard manual. The polarity on that one won't matter but on the pins marked PLED you will have to follow the polarity marked +/- on your switch. If you reverse them it just won't light. That header can potentially source 5V, assuming a pretty common LED If of 20mA you'll need to drop 2V, s 2V/0.20A 100ohm resistor minimum, I think I went 180ohm last one I had to put in.

What you really want is something like this front panel harness to connect to the header and hack off the switches and LEDs you don't need
