Anyone have any recommendations? I had a GeChic 1080p 13.3'' monitor but I just broke it and theres no longer a warranty on it. Im looking for something around 15-15.7'' to be about the same size as my laptop monitor. Response rates arent a concern, I mainly use it to reference materials and databases while I do work away from home on my laptop. I would just buy another GeChic but I'm not sure if im missing out on anything new that may have recently been released on the market. You dont hear a lot about USB monitors anymore online or in tech news.

Debated on DIY'ing it and making one from a laptop screen, but my laptop only has miniDP and VGA outs and I will eventually loose the dongle at a hotel or something if I have to use one.

Looking for something less than $120.

Everything I've heard has GeChic as the top choice. There are some DP capable lcd controller boards but that feature pushes the but up a little vs standard.
