IIRC I made the top and front panel slightly wider for V2 to aid panel fitment, but this prevented the V2 (and later) top panel from being backward compatible with the V1 front panel, since the newer top panels are slighly too wide to fit between the V1 front panel's flanges.However, the inverse - V1 top panel with a V2+ front panel - is compatible. It'll just have a bit more of a gap where it meets the front panel at the sides (about 0.3mm on either side).
