Log Minimalist open build

I posted this in my introduction post, but thought id keep a log of it here too.

Im just starting my first build since being out of pcs for around 7 years, but getting into sim racing has gotten me back into it. Im looking to build something with the smallest form factor i can. I also like the open case style.

I made up the frame today, inspired slightly by the Motif Monument, but with the motherboard laying flat.

Idea of spec:
Gigabyte Aorus B450I board.
Ryzen 5 3600
Deepcool Assassin III cooler
EVGA 650GM

Very cool. I'm looking forward to watching this progress. What are your plans for a gpu retention bracket? Also have you considered cutting a hole below the GPU/ above the PSU to improve airflow?

Thanks, im going to welld a 10mm strip of steel which il drill and tap to mount the gpu bracket. Im also going to add an extended motherboard type stand off at the other end, for the gpu to sit on. To try to limit any sag.

Yeah, there will definitely be 1 90mm hole above the power supply and maybe another toward the back of the gpu, not sure if the second is necessary yet though.
