Introduction
We (@Jayanth, @Ahanix, @aexeq, @mugencillo, @Nautilus) are proud to introduce the Pantheon, a case collaboratively designed by SFF enthusiasts in partnership with 3FC, the designer behind the T1. The name of the case is meant to reflect this combined development process, and we’ve tried to pay some homage in the form of the modernized interpretation of the Parthenon’s pillars on the case’s fascia. Our original goal for this project was to develop a premium sandwich layout case that supports up to three 280mm radiators with full-thickness fans and sufficient breathing room for airflow. We also wanted to allow for flexibility in the configurations supported with an adjustable and flippable spine while maintaining rigidity and usability for each of these layouts. Perseus Cases is named after one of the founders’ SFF dogs, Percy.

Layouts
We’ve put our own “spin” on the sandwich layout here by relying on vertical and horizontal symmetry to allow the user to not only alternate between different slot thicknesses, but also rotate the spine 180 degrees. This transforms the radiator thickness on the top and bottom from being equal at 47mm to favoring the top, which becomes 63mm. This is enough for most 280mm AIOs, while still allowing for intake fans at the bottom and substantial GPU heights. Supporting 280mm AIOs also necessitates a greater allowable length for GPUs - these extended dimensions, coupled with a four-slot spine position, allow for over 70% of flagship AIB cards to be installed with an AIO on top.
Of course, the most interesting option for us is with the standard spine orientation, that allows for a 20mm thick 280mm radiator with 25mm thick fans to be placed on the top and bottom of the case. The feet provide considerable airflow for the bottom radiator while maintaining visual coherence with the rest of the design. We also have side rails that allow for the mounting of 25mm thick fans on both sides, or a whole third radiator with 25mm thick fans on one side. With a single slot GPU waterblock, this side radiator has even more breathing room than the bottom radiator.
Key Features
Our team has a lot of experience with many SFF cases and builds, from air-cooled M1 v5’s to custom loops in the Formd T1. We’ve identified some features that we wanted our ideal case to have. The first is support for a customizable rear assembly for easy filling. SFF loops often lack the space for an internal reservoir, so we’ve developed an optimal spacing of rear ports that allows for a pair of quick disconnects and a check valve - perfect for filling loops with an external pump or even connecting to an external radiator such as the Watercool MO-RA.To allow for flexibility in the placement of this rear assembly and lend further flexibility to the case, we’ve integrated a pair of removable rear inserts into the back of the case. We’re making a blank insert’s CAD file available for modders to add custom ports, such as card readers. The standard user can also choose where they want their power cable and button to be.
We’ve also made the front fascia a removable plate, to allow for more access inside the case and allow for multi-material designs for the front or completely different front panel designs as well. We are also publicizing a stock CAD file for the front fascia for modders to go wild.
Finally, we were pretty split on having IO on the case. Our solution was to have a hidden IO panel that users can choose to install - it sits in place of the badge on the front. This isn’t quite ready yet.
Specifications
Here is a summary for the current prototype’s specifications:- 356.5mm (L) * 170mm (W) * 297mm (H) including feet (18L)
- triple 280mm x 20mm radiator support with full thickness fans, or a 280 x 20mm radiator on the top and bottom with 2 140mm fans on each side
- flippable layout to allow for a single thicker radiators/AIO (up to 63mm thick) with side rads and/or side/bottom fans
- up to 4 slot GPUs with a movable spine, can be fixed to half slots. Each slot config requires a simple IO plate, and we plan to include 1, 2, 3, 4 slot options (and offer the in-between ones as well)
- ventilated, interchangeable front fascia that is easily removable, allowing for a simple front fill port
- interchangeable rear IO plates, to adjust the position of rear-mounted QDCs, C14 port, power button, or even add more ports such as SD card readers
- front-exhausting PSU mounting position
- cable management mounting points on spine and radiator rails
