Power Supply I need a good and cheap external adaptor for the 160w hdplex

Im planning building a pc with an i5 6600k and a gtx 1060. What would be a good adapter to use with it.

160w PSU likely won’t power your system. Theoretical TDP of the CPU+GPU alone is 211w. Then there is the rest of the power required; MB, RAM, SSD, etc. You will be pulling ~250w from the wall at full load.

I would opt for a HDPLEX 400w with a Dell 330w brick.

Agree - go with a low-power CPU (35W) and maybe even undervolt the 1060 for 160-180W. Did you read https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/stx160-0-the-most-powerful-atx-unit-in-the-world.934/ ?

Thank you for the response. Im actually going to go with the modular flex atx psu from geeek. its pretty cheap for 400w modular with 90 percent efficiency
