Power Supply How many amps can a 5.5mm jack take?

I notice that the 19V AC adapters stay with the 5.5mm jack for higher wattages compared to 12V adapters. Is that because the number of amps matter for the jack?

The highest amps I've come across in 12V adapters that use the 5.5mm jack is 180W (15A) over here:

But would this be safe to operate at 180W or would the jack just melt?

Just make sure you have good wire hooked to the jack as well - some chargers from unknown brands use minimal wire, in copper coated aluminium rather than pure copper - a recipe for disaster at the amperages we need.

Oh sorry. I just realized I posted up the wrong Aliexpress link. I've updated it now.

So this one shows a 180W supply. But I guess that would be pushing the boundaries of realism.
