Hi

I got my hands on a Dan Case A4 v2 and is planning to build my new build in this case.
I don't need a powerhouse and I want to have a build where I don't need to worry too much about heat/noise.
I'm going with a Corsair SF450+1060

For CPU I've been looking at the Intel i5-8400 or AMD R5 2600. Cooled by either Noctua NH-L9 or Black Ridge.
My primary game is CS:GO, and I can read that the i5 will be the best choice of the two, but at the same time i'm not convinced to buy the i5-8400 when I can pay around 30$ more and get the i5-9600k.

Would it be an option to go for 9600k and "downclock" it to make it less hot?

Any thoughts, suggestions and ideas are welcome!

Primary use:
- Work (Many Chrome tabs and multiple applications running)
- CS:GO
- Other gaming
