New Year - New Build
I recently shot a NUC11PHKi7C for a very good price and had some time during the holidays to think about a custom case which looks a bit more "living room friendly" compared to the original one...
the design is relatively simple and consists of just two laser cut aluminum parts plus the wood elements at the sides...
first step was cutting 4 pcs of the wood elements out of 20mm solid walnut with a small CNC router
fitment testing with the "chassis" part...
gluing and sanding the wooden parts...
a little bit wax for the final finish...
mounting standoffs for the fans and motherboard...
mounting the motherboard and a CNC machined wooden power button...
mounting the wooden elements...
unfortunately my paint job didn't turn out so well but anyway... here are some pictures of the completed build...
