In Brief: CORSAIR has launched a pair of new PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSDs, with one in particular piquing my interest – the MP600 MINI. Both drives are PCIe Gen4 based, with the larger 2280 form factor MP600 CORE XT coming in at 1, 2 and 4TB capacities, and the smaller MP600 MINI, in the 2230 form factor coming in with a lone 1TB capacity.
Per the press release, the MP600 CORE XT (Stop YELLING at me!) features 3D QLC NAND flash, and claims a sustained throughput of up to 5,000MB/sec reads and 4,400MB/sec writes. The MP600 MINI claims up to 4,800MB/sec read and 4,800MB/sec write.
All specs aside, the MP600 MINI looks to add another player into the uSFF PC and handheld storage world, and my mind instantly turned to a super small SSD RAID array. Hmmm…
