Hi,

I have a limited budget so I'm upgrading piecemeal.

I'm about to order the case to meet the end of April cut off.

I have:
RTX 2060 - Model# GV-N2060OC-6GD
Old mobo - H97M-ITXac (ASRock)
Old cpu - Intel-Core-i7-4790S
Old cooler- Intel - BXTS13X
Samsung 850 ssd

I'll be ordering the case
PSU - Corsair SF450 450W 80 Plus Platinum Modular Power Supply
under mobo fan - Noctua A9x14
under psu fan - Noctua NF-A9
I _might_ need a Noctua a12x15 for cooler? Based on a response from Dan around needing one for Corsair H75 AIO.

I'm not sure what ram I currently have installed - are there particular restrictions around this? If so, I'll grab it from one of the templates Dan has recommended.

I assume no issues with my older parts though right? If so, I imagine just the cooler which I can replace with the Corsair H75 AIO? Is there anything else I am missing?

Here is my recommendation:

1. You don't need case fans for your configuration so don't buy A9x14 & NF-A9
2. You can't fit a AIO with an SFX power supply and your GPU because you need a very short one (max 173mm like this GV-N2060IXOC-6GD ) and your card is too long. So sell your Intel - BXTS13X on ebay
3. Just get an Noctua L9i this will be more than enough for the Core-i7-4790S. If you like to tweak the L9i get a fan duct (https://www.dan-cases.com/dana4_faq.html).

Conclusion:
You need:
Corsair SF450
Noctua L9i
optional: 3D Print fan duct

The result will be a very silent system with good temps.

Where can I get a fan duct from. I am in the process of trying to undervolt my i5-7600k. I have made some minor adjustments to my DanCase. I am currently using the clear side panels. I used 6mm aluminum spacers to offset the windows an extra 6mm. I have included a link to my thread although it is the newest thread in this forum. If you could offer some advice please do. I love this case. I'm waiting to get my hands on one of the new asetek coolers so I can put my i7-8700k back in my DanCase. I've posted a link below.

I have posted a link to the liquid cooler that is designed to work with the DanCase. I believe it will work with your older mobo and cpu. Its the Asetek 645LT. A cooler with a 120mm radiator will not fit unless your GPU is a true mini itx GPU. A 120mm radiator will only fit next to the GPU with an added bracket. Asetek manufactures a liquid cooler with a 92mm radiator that will fit below the PSU when paired with a Noctua 92x92x14mm fan.I have posted a couple links below. Two links to GPUs that will allow you to run a cooler with a 120mm radiator(like the one you currently have and to the liquid cooler you can run in this case with a full size gpu as long as your power supply is a true SFX form factor and not an SFX-XL.
I agree with Dan to be honest. You won't need liquid cooling as long as you setup a Noctua NH-L9i correctly. It will allow you to use your current configuration and shouldn't cause an heat issues. I've had my case for over a year. I am going to order the fanshroud Dan suggested to you as well. I have a Noctua NH-L9i on an i5-7600k.

Considering that I am intending on upgrading cpu/mobo in the coming months - do you see any issues with the Asetek 645LT that botlebruiser has mentioned when paired with my full size gpu? Obviously no guarantees etc but you're the one that is intimately familiar with this stuff!

It might help if you let us know what you plan to upgrade to. Do you have ideas on your plans?

Judging by Dan's comment, isn't the issue the full size gpu? Is there that much difference in measurements with mini itx mobo and cpus?

I would probably eventually go for am4 socket, either Ryzen 5 2600 or if the wait is long enough, the newer zens out this year. However, I'm not married to anything - just "newer" and "faster" than my current 5 year old cpu.

I can only say: The Asetek 645LT is hard to install and only worth if you to build a system based on 8700k/9900k/2700X. For an Ryzen 5 2600 or the upcoming 3600 a Noctua heatsink is enough and much cheaper and easier to install.

Keep in mind if you switch later to AM4 you should get the Noctua L9a AM4 Edition.

L9i will work on Intel 115x socket and on Am4 (with AM4 retention kit)
L9a will only work on AM4 but is 5°C better as the L9i with AM4 retention.

To save some money you can now use the Intel Boxed heatsink and later this year if you upgrade to AM4 you can buy the L9a
