A Pro version of the Aya Neo has been announced via the Aya Neo Indiegogo campaign. The new version of the Aya Neo, now called AYANEO 2021 Pro, will feature an upgraded APU in the form of a Ryzen R7 4800U. The original Aya Neo used a Ryzen R5 4500U.
The R5 4500U is a 6 core / 6 thread part that has a base clock of 2.3GHz, and a boost clock of 4.0GHz. It features 6 Vega based GPU cores at 1.5GHz.
The R7 4800U is an 8 core / 16 thread part that has a base clock of 1.8GHz, and a boost clock of 4.2GHz. Crucially, it features 8 Vega based GPU cores at 1.75GHz.
Additionally, three colors will be offered: Dark Star (black), Light Moon (White), and Retro which has an NES/Gameboy style color design.
The AYANEO 2021 Pro starts at $1,215 for the one terabyte model, and previous backers of the Aya Neo can upgrade their reservation for as little as $250.
