I concur 100%. I was planning to use NH-C14S on this board. Now, I need to reconsider if it will fit.I swear Asus doesn't think anyone using an itx board uses a top down cooler. Instead of making this more compatible than the z370 they added that huge IO shroud/heatsink thing. Apparently everyone that uses one has an AIO.
Me three. I do appreciate the built-in I/O shield but not at the expense of functionality.I concur 100%. I was planning to use NH-C14S on this board. Now, I need to reconsider if it will fit.
Having this full cover IO shroud seems to getting more popular these days. I hope the shroud does not have RGB effect incorporated.
I got lucky I googled it at dinner and the video was 9min oldand the video is already gone
the ME is *always* active. There is no toggle. The only solution has been to strip it out of the UEFI firmware. The most recent ME can't be completely stripped or else it bricks your CPU. Please read up on ME.

What's known is that Intel Management Engine can use the network and send and receive data even if your OS has a firewall.
We also know it still runs even when the PC is switched off.
It's always on and has its hands everywhere in the system.
Its it's own "computer" with it's own OS.
Integrating WiFi with IME might be a bad thing not just because of paranoid people fearing the NSA, but because IME has it's own flaws hackers might exploit.
Yeah I'm buying one of these with a 9700k for A4 SFX. Might also look at getting one of the 92mm lc units for it too, but that is such a sexy board.
Yep, they work both ways I believe, new chips on old boards and only chips on new board. I think Intel learnt from Z370...Silly question, but will an 8700k work in this motherboard, or just the new 9th gen chips?
Edit: I had a look on the ASUS website and it does support 8th gen chips.

Can anyone confirm if this motherboard accepts topdown coolers? I am trying my hardest to stray away from an AIO cooling solution for an ITX build.
