In this episode I demonstrate how to accurately model a part from a photo and some basic measurements, using the stock Noctua mounting bar to demonstrate. This is particularly useful for parts that would be difficult to measure, like if it has curves and non-perpendicular/parallel edges.
The second part of the video is of me using the derived mounting bar model to plan out and model a custom bar to mount Noctua heatsinks (and specifically the NH-L12) to the Intel LGA 2011 Narrow ILM, as used on the ASRock X99E-ITX/ac.
It's a long video with many sidetracks and digressions (though hopefully informative), so kudos to anyone who watches all the way to the end!
