1080 vs 1080Ti VRM ?

I'm about to replace the stock heatsink on my Strix 1080Ti with an Accelero Etreme III and came across this:

I'd like to install this too to keep temps as low as possible but couldn't find any info anywhere if it would be compatible with the 1080Ti though. Anyone knows maybe ?

It is not compatible.

The Gelid kit fits 1080/1070 FE. So, when you compare their PCB layout with your Asus Strix 1080Ti, it is very different.
But your Asus Strix has its own plate already, which more or less acts as a heatsink. However, I do not know if you can keep that when you install the Accelero Etreme III.

Thanks tinyitx, I'll probably go ahead this afternoon and do the install of the Accelero. I don't know if the strix's plate can be retained yet but will try it and see. Otherwise I;ll install separate little heatsinks on each VRM and DRAM chip.
