South Louisiana - Putting my server in the attic or in a shed?

The case you linked to above does have an optional 120mm midsection fan mount. There is a review of it here: https://www.servethehome.com/120mm-fan-partition-norco-rpc4220-rpc4020/. Server cases are unfortunately very expensive, as the market isn't particularly price sensitive. I would totally...

CPU Researching 'performance-per-watt' and power efficiency? (Undervolting, etc.)

@Raxe Your testing is very comprehensive. I'm glad that you find it helpful. This is something I would definitely recommend doing for anyone with a new pascal card. The lower temperatures and quieter card is definitely worth it. For me, I personally monitor change in power consumption via the...

CPU Researching 'performance-per-watt' and power efficiency? (Undervolting, etc.)

Yeah, the only real option is to use this utility (which actually gives even finer grain control but has an actual chance of bricking your card). If anyone does want to attempt this, I'd recommend a great deal of care and a whole lot of risk tolerance. It is a lot safer if you have a dual bios...

CPU Researching 'performance-per-watt' and power efficiency? (Undervolting, etc.)

Sorry, I think I was a little unclear about this. You can click L to lock it to a specific frequency-voltage combination while you're testing what works well for your card. Then you can disable the lock when you're done. As long as your intended peak combination, in your case +300mhz at 0.85v...

CPU Researching 'performance-per-watt' and power efficiency? (Undervolting, etc.)

Yeah, this is only with GPU Boost 3.0, which for now is pascal only. Edit: Also, you could use a bios tweaker to gain absolute mastery over your card if you can stomach the risks. I did it for my GTX 780, and was kinda sad that pascal has no such utility. Would love to enable fanless idle...

CPU Researching 'performance-per-watt' and power efficiency? (Undervolting, etc.)

You might have to enter the settings menu and check that all the above posted settings are the same.

CPU Researching 'performance-per-watt' and power efficiency? (Undervolting, etc.)

You can find it in the images above. The X-axis is voltage and Y-axis is frequency. GPU-boost will pick the lowest voltage for the same frequency, so you want to the curve to flatten after your intended point. You can click L to lock it to a specific voltage and frequency combination. The images...

CPU Researching 'performance-per-watt' and power efficiency? (Undervolting, etc.)

I would like to expand on this. GPU Boost 3.0 actually allows you to change the voltage-frequency curve which allows you to have higher frequencies at lower voltages, and actually lock it there if you'd like. Changing the power limit will only change where on the curve the GPU operates, not the...

    Cooling Low-profile CPU coolers?

I would say that the Noctua L9i is passable for a 6700 under load. I run a 4670k (overclocked to 3.8ghz all core turbo, undervolted) and it stays just shy of 90 degrees Celsius on synthetic stress tests. Although uncomfortably hot, a 6700 has a far lower tdp and the L9i would probably work.

Prototype Project Orthrus - Smallest SLI mATX case (V2)

Absolutely excited to see what becomes of your project! I have an immense appreciation for things that use creative engineering to overcome the constraints of old standards.

    Accessory New Case Building tool?

Looks cool, but isn't a normal cnc better? Especially since it appears that is uses those checkered strips as a guide. The only advantage would be on extra large cutting surfaces or non-removable surfaces.
