Motherboard Group Buy/Crowdfunded Modded BIOS for the Asrock A300m (Deskmini A300)

Nope, this group buy / crowdfund never came to fruition.

Discussion changing the Jupiter X300 Adapter from 90w to 120w, is it safe?

Because my old laptop had 4930MX and a 980M both overclocked with custom cooling. Then I thought the A300 only worked with 19V bricks so my plan was to use one of these and a splitter to power an eGPU. In the end I want with an internal dGPU.

Discussion changing the Jupiter X300 Adapter from 90w to 120w, is it safe?

    There's the Dellianware 330W bricks. I've got two (don't ask why). They're 19.5V.

Currently have a 2400G running at stock so 65W. Ram runs at 3200 all day long. Gaming is with a dGPU so not sure how useful that would be. The power brick. The system.

Discussion changing the Jupiter X300 Adapter from 90w to 120w, is it safe?

I've got a 12V 400W brick for my deskmini A300. Anything from 12V to 19V will work on it (though officially only 19V). I don't see why the Jupiter would be any different.

    News Asrock Deskmini X300

If you "brick" your A300, there's a 5 euro chip reader/writer that you can use to flash the old bios back onto the chip.

    Cooling ASRock DeskMini x300 - cooling of M2 SSD's

An nvme on the top m.2 (above Wi-Fi card) of the board should be fine, it'll get indirect cooling from the CPU cooler. On the bottom side it can get a little toasty but there's no space for a heatsink. You could maybe get a chonky thermal pad or a metal shim and a smaller thermal pad to make...

Log Best "APU" case for SSH only 3700x

A/X300 won't work, they only work with APUs. Some Asrock motherboards will boot headless such as the B450M Steel Legend, but you'll need a dGPU to at least install the OS.

Log 4L Custom STX Case Deskmini X300 with RTX GPU (brickless) 3d printed

This board has two PWM fan headers, you can use the 12V from one of those to trigger power for the GPU.

Log 4L Custom STX Case Deskmini X300 with RTX GPU (brickless) 3d printed

250W, not even considering efficiency losses, wouldn't cut it with an RTX 2060 (160W) together with the X300 and a 5700G (which has been documented to go over the 120W of the stock X300 power brick).

Maybe your deskmini is just kaput. Fortunately X300 is coming down in price considerably.

CPU Hunting for X570 or B550 board that fully supports ECC!

I've built a system with a Asus Pro WS X570-ACE, with a 5950X and 2x Kingston KSM32ED8/32ME for a total of 64GB in two sticks. It's running at the rated 3200MHz. Also UDIMMs. If you're worried about memory errors then RAM frequency isn't as important.

    Prebuilt [SFFn] ASRock's DeskMini A300 - Finally!

Change it in both Manjaro and Ubuntu, go to your BIOS, set your time to local time, go to Windows, set the correct time manually then re-enable automatic time.

    Prebuilt [SFFn] ASRock's DeskMini A300 - Finally!

Windows sets the BIOS time to local time. Linux sets the BIOS time to UTC. You can, in linux, change it's behavior using the command `timedatectl set-local-rtc 1 --adjust-system-clock`. Set to zero to revert. You can also change Windows' behaviour but I don't remember the actual procedure...
