Back in stock on newegg again (don't buy from the chinese seller, who is definitely a scam); also ran across this adapter which... should work for splitting the SlimSAS outputs on the board into 2x u.2 slots each. I'll probably give it a try. I'm currently stuck waiting for my CPU, as shipping...

According to the Linus Tech Tips build video using this, you can configure the fan curve on this via IPMI gui, so that's handy. I'm kinda wanting to pick up a 7443p and one of these when available; 24 Zen 3 cores at $55/core, turbo to 4ghz, 200W TDP, 10G on board, RDIMMS, what more could you...

yeah, that ended up being the fate of my s4m-c... It's still sitting there, sad, because I don't have enough unstripped screws left to get the side to stay on. Though I wouldn't really have a use for it these days regardless as I'm off in matx land now.

Interesting little tidbit: their 2019 catalog also says they have models with 3xOCuLink for a total of 14 SATA ports; but not with the 31x1/32x1 processors, so it's likely they have some with 33x1/34x1 versions planned.

Just realized the X has 8 slots, not 7, which gives me at least 57 mm and... some amount from the bottom, judging from shots like this so I think I'm likely safe at 65mm and can transfer my threadripper build with "why even have 60 spare pci-e lanes if you're not gonna use them" worth of cards

For the Cerberus X, does anyone know what combined radiator+fan width you can fit in the bottom position with a single-slot PCI-E card in slot 3 (from the bottom) is? It should be 38mm + whatever the clearance would be with a single slot card in slot 1, but I'm not clear on what the clearance is...
