    Power Supply SilverStone SX700-LPT - 700W SFX-L Platinum-rated

I'll give that a try and report back. Update: It took much much longer, but I did eventually have a failure. I appreciate that very much. I am using Open Hardware Monitor to watch CPU, motherboard, and GPU temperatures, and they all stay reasonably low. I don't have a temperature reading for my...

    Power Supply SilverStone SX700-LPT - 700W SFX-L Platinum-rated

Thanks for the insight, Aiboh. I'll try to do some testing when I have time and report back... for science. Update: I am somewhat more certain that the PSU is tripping its over-temperature protection. I removed the side dust filter and put a large external fan blowing at the PSU intake, and...

    Power Supply SilverStone SX700-LPT - 700W SFX-L Platinum-rated

Well I finally received my SX700 yesterday, along with a Silverstone ML08, and today I rebuilt my system in the new case. Sadly, I've had a few sudden and unexpected reboots since the rebuild, and I'm having trouble determining the cause. My CPU (6700K) and GPU (GTX 970) temps seem okay, and...

    Power Supply SilverStone SX700-LPT - 700W SFX-L Platinum-rated

It's more than I was expecting, but I've waited so long I'm just going to buy it anyway. Newegg.ca put their listing up a couple hours ago, and I've placed my order.

    Power Supply SilverStone SX700-LPT - 700W SFX-L Platinum-rated

So far, Newegg.com doesn't have listing for it when I search for "Silverstone SX700"... but Newegg.ca does, albeit out-of-stock. I subscribed to be notified when it goes In-Stock. Edit: nevermind, the listing was taken down. The page I had bookmarked just 404s.

SFF.Network [SFF Network] Lian Li Stealth Launches the PE-750: A 750W Platinum SFX-L PSU

Any first impressions so far? Does it run "semi-fanless", or is the fan always running? Can you draw any comparisons to that other package you received? I just received my Rift shipping confirmation, so my timeline for choosing a new PSU just got a whole lot shorter :P

So my Rift is ordered, which should arrive sometime in April. Any chance the [Redacted] will be available by then? Also, is anyone else closely watching CES for more mATX motherboard options?

Thanks a ton, Aiboh, that was very helpful.

Kimera Industries Project Nova: 17 liters of 5-slot mATX goodness

Thanks for the quick response, Aiboh. I'm afraid the data that I'm most interested in isn't in your post. An update to the old sketchup model would be very helpful; I'm sure I'm not the only one who would appreciate it. If that's too much work, maybe you can answer the following instead: 1)...

Kimera Industries Project Nova: 17 liters of 5-slot mATX goodness

At the risk of sounding like I'm nagging, how soon can we expect to see the final dimensions/layout of this case? I understand it will be a while yet before it can be purchased, but I want to buy other components soon and I'd like to feel more certain that things will fit.

Kimera Industries Project Nova: 17 liters of 5-slot mATX goodness

I'm also leaning towards buying the gigabyte board for a few main reasons: 1) The Samsung 950 Pro SSD has issues with thermal throttling if it doesn't receive enough airflow, which I expect would be a problem with motherboards where the m.2 slot will be essentially hidden under a videocard...
