What kinds of resolutions and refresh rates does that do if connected to a PC? After reading Digital Foundry's excellent write-up on modern gaming on a CRT, I've been toying with the idea of getting one, both for that and for old consoles and the like.

Power Supply A Guide to 12V PSU

No, most CPUs run perfectly fine with just 4 pins. 8 are only necessary for very power hungry ones, and even then typically only when overclocking.

Doesn't your PicoPSU provide a 4-pin EPS connector? Use that, don't connect it directly from the power brick.

Power bricks are rated for sustained output, so I guess it might be 180W peak? That makes it sound like a relatively low quality brick though. Might also just be a brain fart.

    What did you do today?

I only moved on from my Oneplus 3T because it broke (poorly soldered battery connector) and repairing it wasn't possible. Got a cheap-ish (read: 2010 flagship price) Moto One Zoom, which I'm very happy with (though I'd have liked a tad more RAM). Beyond that I keep anything and everything until...

My last few days: packing up everything in the apartment. Loving our new home theater setup XD

Isn't that exactly what I said in the post you quoted? And yes, a 60W output would put quite massive stress on that brick if the system is under any kind of load. Also, portable monitors are designed to run off ste standard USB-C 15W (5V3A), they definitely don't need 60W. They also group PD and...

Techpowerup: https://www.techpowerup.com/270707/asrock-introduces-the-deskmini-h470-deskmini-x300 It's also on Asrock's official product page, under the "USB alternate mode" heading, though going by the illustrations it might be a 60W output rather than an input - though why anyone would want...

There's nothing rebranded about the 4000-series APUs. Sure, they are based on the Zen 2 architecture like the 3000-series CPUs, but they are an entirely new silicon design. 3000-series APUs (Picasso) were 14nm Zen+ chips with up to 4 cores and up to 11 Vega CUs at =>1500MHz. 4000-series APUs are...

I've never heard a built-in mic input that doesn't have tons of noise, but I guess that might at least partially be due to poor microphones too. It's noted in the OT video that the Evo 4 had too little gain for his mic too, but he added an in-line preamp to overcome that, with good results. That...

Motherboard Group Buy/Crowdfunded Modded BIOS for the Asrock A300m (Deskmini A300)

Because that's a known buggy beta BIOS, and lacks the clock and voltage adjustments of the X300?

Manuals and specs like that always have to take into account every configuration, so in this case a 35W 4750GE + 2 m.2 SSDs + 2 2.5" HDDs. A simpler setup can absolutely run at or below 60W as long as the APU isn't allowed to boost too much. Besides, what would be the point of having 60W PD on...

Blatantly copying myself from the BIOS mod thread: It's official: https://www.techpowerup.com/270707/asrock-introduces-the-deskmini-h470-deskmini-x300 I'm disappointed that it doesn't have the impressive I/O of the H470 model (USB-C with 60W PD and Alt mode! Imagine powering your Deskmini...

That is the exact interface from the Optimum Tech video I mentioned above! Thanks for relieving me of the duty of looking up its name and info ;) I've been considering getting a good USB mic, but that thing looks good enough that I might go XLR instead (could be useful as there's other XLR audio...
