Discussion Who are these people? Ki & foni have great cases and demonstrations

I came across same video, from what i found, it's a custom one based on ASUS DYI-APE standart. Here's some more info to read: https://www.zfrontier.com/app/flow/z0B60jLgQPa8 https://www.tomshardware.com/news/diy-ape-motherboards-break-cover

    Log Case/CPU for workstation

Hi all. Planning to place order for remaining parts for my personal build and have a few questions. Need to choose Case, CPU and cooling. I got great experience with Sliger (here) and will likely go with one of their cases. So far my plan is to go with reasonable powerful build (so no...

NYTN: Not Your Typical NAS or 20Tb of SSDs in SFF case.

I got that flash in my main PC for a pretty long time. But I consolidated everything down to this little server and it works perfectly. I'm running 6.7.0U3. I was able to pass-through RTX2000, but it required more efforts: need to add some nvidia entries in /etc/passthrough and such. RTX3000...

NYTN: Not Your Typical NAS or 20Tb of SSDs in SFF case.

Haven't posted updates in past few months, but I've sold my 2070 Dual Mini card and purchased 3060Ti from EVGA. The only 3000-series card under 21cm at the moment. Paid about as much as I sold my 2070 for, so I'm very happy about it. Still using my 450W PSU, even though I have 750W Corsair on...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Yeah. I paid quite bit less then that though. OS drive is no less impressive. You can check out build details here: https://smallformfactor.net/forum/threads/nytn-not-your-typical-nas-or-20tb-of-ssds-in-sff-case.12807/

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Plenty of space to mount 2.5" drives. You can stack em (2x2) and mount on the bottom or side hinge. You can stack all four and mount on either side. I mounted mine on the front panel using some spacers for better airflow/cooling.

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

It should fit just fine with ATX PSU. Even more space with SFX. Just 15.

Discussion RTX 3000 Series ITX Cards

I used to have same 2070 Dual mini up until recently and was pretty happy with results. It was located next to two 140 intake fans in cerberus case, but still. Was doing great for what I was using it. Planning on getting 3060ti now.

NYTN: Not Your Typical NAS or 20Tb of SSDs in SFF case.

Quick update on the build. 1. I'm anticipating new videocards coming soon and I've sold my card for a good price. I guess fact that's the only card you can get to Intel NUC adds up. 2. Got nice CPU instead: Intel Xeon E5-2698v3. Basically, doubled down: 2x cores and threads. 2x power and cache...

SecretImbecile Double 140 intake on bottom, 92 intake on the rear plus double exhaust on top sounds good to me.

    News ASRock Rack ROMED4ID-2T Deep-ITX

This doesn't get you 10G ports, that gets you external SAS-HD ports. I don't have exact X570 board from Asrock Rack, but I'm doing pretty fine with Asrock Rack EPC612D4U-2T8R (aka mATX with 10G and SAS onboard)...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

I was thinking about fast enterprise (hense server) NVME like Intel P4800 or Samsung PM1725. I'm running latter in my homelab and it gets me 6000MB in crystaldisk mark. Perfect for VM and general use. Drive was designed for highload databases and such. It's PCIe 3.0 x4, but bandwidth is the...

Chimera Industries Cerberus: The 18L, mATX, USA-made enclosure

Considering Cerberus X for my workstation. What is the best way to cool and overclock 10700k there? Will likely go with sff power supply, so I have some flexibility there. 280AIO on the bottom? (It doesn't fit on the front panel?) 240 AIO on front or bottom? or go with provel solition like C14s...
