I just retired a 2005 Mazda 3 hatchback to buy this one and that car treated me well all this time. Looking for years of good service from this one.
Totally agree. The best bang for buck is in a few years old vehicle that has taken the depreciation hit. I have purchased exactly one brand new...
Back again and finalizing the build for now. I decided to go with the C14s since a cooler in hand is better than 2 unpurchased.. or something. Anyway I'm calling it a success and recommend this type of setup for anyone in the S610.
Definitely a nice case. I like the proportions of 610 vs the 620 personally. Fans are audible under load but temps are good. I plan on trying the c14s I have for the cpu. That or I order the U9S chromax. Either are fine for a 5600x. The wraith spire is good enough really if a bit loud.
Here is a quick set of pics for my S610 build in progress.

@Uruk Looking great! That's exactly where I want to go with my Cerb X upgrades. The 5800x is getting easier to find but those 6800s and the SF 750 are unicorns still. How are the temps and clocks on your 5800x ?
Yeah even at 1440p going from a 3600 to the 5600x doesn’t make a lot of sense for gaming. The 1080p gap is impressive so people looking at new builds or coming off a Ryzen 1000 or even 2000 cpu it’s looking good.
After running multiple setups with everything from the stock Wraith cooler to AIO to custom water... In my experience the Cerberus X works the best when you keep it simple. When availability is better I would like to swap on a Ryzen 5000 and Radeon 6800 of some flavor to try that unified AMD...
It’s all speculation till the reviews hit but I’m betting 2080ti performance say in a 3080 or thereabouts is still going to be 800-1k USD especially early and that would be underwhelming. More so if the TDP is up. Now maybe all this extra power is for getting that 20-30% raster bump and...
Am4 Socket was launched late 2016. 4 years of support and 3 series of CPUs available for B350/ x370 boards. If AMD did this out of need or want it doesn’t matter as it is terrific for consumers. That is an exceptionally long run in the world of PCs and who knows if it will happen again. If one...
I’ve had a G3 for a while and have been using it off and on as a secondary box or parts catcher to test used parts.
Anyway, I put my ATX board back in service as the stationary main system and went back to the G3 because it’s easy to build in and I like the way it looks with the side panel off...
It’s a healthy mix of people doing the right things and those who aren’t here in SW Ohio. Masks are now mandatory at my office and we are still having 40% of us working from home. Those in the building are spread out as we have an open office floor plan. That’s something I suppose. I’m in the...
