Very true, case has nothing to do with it. Anyway, thanks very much for the help @Biowarejak. Turns out all I needed to do was clear the CMOS. Everything is working beautifully now.

Well... the old pull the whole thing apart and put it back together trick worked a treat. Turns out I had the wrong 8-pin cable plugged into the graphics card. Crysis averted! Thanks anyway.
