The L9a is not compatible with am4 out of the box and would require the separate mounting bracket, the L9a-AM4 is the one that is compatible out of the box

+1 for a "bad" heatsink here, however there seems to be plenty of heat transfer to the aluminum block as it gets pretty hot to the touch when I load all cores and threads. Edit: didn't specify which board I'm using. I have the x370 board and it has the "bad" heatsinks.

If someone makes a waterblock this would only be single slot.

If anyone is trying to use custom pstate settings I was only able to get them to work after I created 3 custom states (p0,p1,p2) I haven't noticed this behavior yet. I think you can wire it up to the reset button if you want something more convenient. Edit: nevermind, system wont boot without...
