interesting to see big shuriken leading ahead. Perhaps with top venting fans, the L12 might do better, since a 92 fan is slightly underpowered to maximize the airflow for L12.

After some digging, I cut down my specs to an delidded i7 7700k and 1080 to keep the thermals in a more agreeable range. Personally, the 8700k thermals are a bit overwhelming. and the 1080ti might add a bit more heat to the system. now I am waiting on this case while using a ml08 as a stopgap.

yes, it says 70 mm in height. So 65 mm is the maximum clearance then?

CPU temps, no. But if you look at the SSD temp, there is an indication with any ventilation fan installed, the air flow in the backside of the Mobo is improved. (how fast the temp drops, not how high it maintains.) PS Well if you run the machine 24x7 then no difference.

one more thing. might be useful to give info on whether the graphics card is blower style (founders) or with multiple fans. It only says Asus gtx1080 in the pdf.

Excellent data presentation. May I suggest using LinX rather than Prime95 for synthetic CPU heavy workloads since LinX is more demanding and comparable to real-time 4K transcoding. PS Being able to accommodate L12 cooler, that's something. This is a real advantage over cases that can only use...

This might sound dumb, but I will go ahead and say it: Why not use the case as a secondary heat sink? Or alternatively, take off the fan from Noctua L9i and add a few mounts for 40mm blower fan to create a wind tunnel from front to back?

Hi, Zotac is currently releasing a lineup of mini cards up to 1080ti with size of 211mm x 125mm x 41mm (8.31in x 4.92in x 1.61in). It seems like they are pretty committed on releasing mini cards in this size. Just curious if you might be interested in revising your design to fit such sizes...
