Optimum Tech did a great video on this but I think not really. From his testing the blowers were great for reducing CPU temperatures and open air designs were great for lowering GPU temps but could increase CPU temps. With sandwich style cases I think the compartment layout will mean that both...
Ah okay, that explains it - I never recevied the GPU bracket in my package for the case - only the internal piece which I'd been trying to work out how to use since I received it and gave up... Do you have any spare you could send to me?
Do you mean the rectangular black piece I attach to the back?
I'm not no - I couldn't quite understand the process after reading the manual as there was limited instructions for GPU mounting - if you have any more detailed instructions I think I should re-mount the GPU.
Therer were a few...
@VELKASE Michael - Love the new design and changes you've made - I think all of them take the case in the right direction for sure.
I guess any questions I have are pending seeing the GPU mounting/IO solution as my Velka 5 continues to have issues with my Red Dragon's fans touching the side...
I recently started playing a F2P Mad-Max style brawler called Crossout and had a lot of fun with that.
Back into Siege again now though, just keeps pulling me back haha
Managed to get back to platinum last night which is reassuring that I'm still okay at the game lol
I'm planning on swapping out my power limited 9700k on an AsRock Phantom Gaming ITX for a 3700X on an AsRock Phantom Gaming ITX due to concerns around cooling the CPU and also for future proofing the system.
Something I'm interested in knowing however, is even though the 3700X is a...
It's held on with the power button and double sided tape in this case - reach out to @warmack who has the dimensions for the panel and he can assist you with getting a pane, he does Velka 3's too. But super easy to install if you have decent double sided adhesive.
Hey man, welcome to the other side!
So got my Velka 5 yesterday (I'm also in Australia and got a B-Stock case from Michael directly).
Was such a fun build and I am so enamoured by this case.
Only issue is my GPU, a Zotac RTX 2080 Twin Fan LOOKS like a 2 slot card, but the fan hubs protrude...
I feel like there should be enough space between the Rad and Motherboard to make a 92mm DDC pump mount.
This would limit you to 170mm GPU's.
I reckon a DDC MX 3.2 - the PWM powered one will be fine for that amount of space and hardware.
Are you gonna tell us and show some renders or tease us and give us SFF blue balls?
I'd be so keen for something like this where I can just stick a Nano-ATX PSU in there with a brick and run a little 1080p gaming PC.
